"We, Jayapura Regency Government, traditional leaders, religion, youth, TNI and Polri agree to declare peace and maintain the integrity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia and Papua peaceful land and maintain Jayapura Regency as a zone of harmony integrity by rejecting issues that are not true (hoaks), radicalism , terrorism and separatism, and build quality and prosperous Jayapura and peace, "said religious leaders, customs and stakeholders who were present together.

Toni Wanggai, after the activity, said that the activity was part of the recession of the MRP religious work group after the arrest and processing of a suspected terrorist case by the police in Doyo, Jayapura Regency last week.

"The issue is our focus, so how do we maintain Kamtibmas and harmony in Jayapura ahead of the Christmas celebration on December 25, 2019 and New Year January 1, 2020, while also maintaining the situation remains conducive when the implementation of XX PON in 2020," he said.

He hoped that the activities that ended with a mutual agreement in the form of a declaration rejecting false information, terrorism, radicalism and separatism, harmony and peace among the believers in the Regency of Kenambay Umbay (another name for Jayapura Regency, ed) could be well preserved.

"We hope that the zone of harmony in Jayapura can be well protected from various acts of crime, radicalism and terrorism, so that together we protect the city as the gateway to Papua. If Jayapura Regency is safe, then all of Papua is safe considering that the international airport is here," said Dr Toni who is also the Chairperson of the Papua Province Nahdlatul Ulama.

Christian religious leader Reverend Alberth Yoku STh who is also the former Chair of the GKI Synod in the Land of Papua appreciated the implementation of the MRP religious working group recess, which greatly utilized and paid attention to current issues in the community.
