Angkasa Pura I Officially Manage Sentani Airport in Papua, Beginning Early 2020 |
PT. Angkasapura 1 (AP1), starting on January 8, 2020, began managing Sentani Airport. This was marked by the visit of the President Director (Managing Director) of AP1, Ali Mochtar Ngabalin, together with the board of directors to the Jayapura Regency Government which was received directly by the Jayapura Regent, Mathius Awoitauw
.
Through the Regional Regulation (Perda) concerning Service Cooperation and Utilization of Sentani Airport Facilities, Angkasa Pura I (AP-I) is given the authority to manage the levy tax for business owners who are inside and outside the Sentani Airport area.
.
The AP-I Sales Manager Interim Acting Officer, Rasmon, said that his party had formed a special team that was conducting data collection on all businesses that would be equipped with an e-Tax system or application to make tax payments online.
.
So far, the levy tax at Sentani Airport for hotels and restaurants has not been going well because there are no local regulations governing it.
.
"At present, the regulation is already in place and this is also being carried out on the proposal of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)," Rasmon said after holding a meeting with the Jayapura Regent, Mathius Awoitauw, at the Jayapura Regent's Office in Gunung Merah, Sentani, Thursday (9/1 ).
.
Meanwhile, Jayapura Sentani Airport passenger traffic, which has just been managed by Angkasa Pura Airports as of January 1, 2020, in the Christmas and New Year 2020 period reached 36,570.
.
Jayapura Regent, Mathius Awoitauw, appreciated the presence of PT. AP1 who came to provide answers to certainty related to the management of Sentani Airport as well as friendship with the ranks of the Jayapura Regency Government.
.
"Previously there were meetings that we did. Both in Sentani, Jayapura, to Jakarta, but thankfully today they (AP1) can come here officially, "said Regent Awoitauw, after the meeting.
.
It was said, there were a number of things that were conveyed to AP1 related to the management of this vital object, of course during the next six months there would be adjustments to be made in its management.
.
"One thing we left with them (AP1) is that when people visit here, they will know and feel that they are already in Papua," said Regent Awoitauw.
.
According to him, the management of airports outside Papua was carried out professionally with competent personnel, but did not forget the characteristics and culture of the local area. This is what we want at Sentani Airport.
.
"It will feel proud when one day the ticket waiter until the janitor at the airport is a native of Papua," he said.
