Papua PON Venue Progress Reaches 80 Percent

Venue development progress for the XX National Sports Week (PON) in 2020, sourced from the Papua Province Regional Budget (APBD) has reached an average of 80 percent.

"The development of the PON Venue has an average progress of 60 to 80 percent," Papua's Head of Sports and Youth Agency through the Office Secretary, Idris Salama, told reporters in Jayapura on Monday (1/13).

PON venues that were built with the Papua APBD budget namely the Bangkit Papua Stadium in Jayapura Regency have been completed 100 percent, Guts Futsal in Mimika Regency also completed 100 percent, GOR Voly 85 percent, shooting fields 85 percent GOR GIDI 85 percent Sofball and 70 percent baseball, GOR Cenderawasih and GOR Trikora are also nearing completion.

Idris Salama explained, although it still contained less than nine months of implementation, but his side was optimistic that the venue completion would be on time. "For Venue, there is no problem, we are optimistic that the venue will be finished on time," he said.

The same thing was also conveyed by PB PON Papua Daily Chair, Yunus Wonda, according to him, the progress of venue construction had reached an average of 80 percent. "The report that we received at PB PON, construction of the venue will be completed in June 2020.
