Prevent Corona in Papua, Mimika Regency Government Asks for Restaurants and Stalls to Stop Eating on the Spot |
Mimika Regency Government, Papua Province continues to make various efforts to anticipate the spread of Covid-19 even though positive cases have not been found in the area.
One of the most recent preventative measures taken is to ask all restaurants and food stalls to exclude eating on the spot, so that there is no mass gathering.
Mimika Satpol PP Head Willem Naa said, based on the Mimika Regent circular Eltinus Omaleng, his party was ordered as an executive officer to conduct policing in the field.
"Food and drink must be brought home, and not allowed to eat on the spot. It must be wrapped and brought home, "he said in Timika, Saturday (3/21) night.
According to Willem, this instruction applies to all restaurants, restaurants without exception, including small roadside stalls.
"No one can put chairs and tables on the side of the road like this, it is strictly forbidden. We hope all food stalls, once people come to buy, wrap and take it home, "he said.
Willem further said, the control and delivery of appeals to restaurants and food stalls in Timika to eliminate eating at the place of the plan began on Sunday (22/3).
"This circular is valid until there is the latest information from the local government," he said.
Willem asked the whole community not to panic about the steps taken by the government, because the effort was merely a form of vigilance.
"There is no need to panic, we are just on guard. Instead of something new we move. So before anything happens in this city, we must anticipate, find solutions, find steps, "he said.
Therefore, he appealed to the whole community to support various steps taken in the common interest, in order to avoid the Covid-19 outbreak.
"The steps taken are not to cause harm to the community, harm, but all for the common good," he added.
Meanwhile, the Covid-19 Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling of Covid-19 through Satpol PP also began to curb night entertainment venues (THM) in the area on Saturday night.
"The Mimika Regent's instructions ordered Satpol PP, the first to close and control all entertainment venues, both cafes, bars, cucumbers, restaurants to other tourist attractions," Willem added.
Spokesperson of the Covid-19 Covid-19 Accident Handling Task Force Team, Mimika Reynold Ubra, confirmed that until now there had not been found a case of the Covid-19 corona virus in the region.
"Overall, the results of the 24-hour Early Alert System and Response (SKDR) have not been found by people in monitoring (ODP) or patients under surveillance (PDP)," he said.
