Social Service On 57th Birthday of Kodam XVII / Cenderawasih

In commemoration of the 57th anniversary of Kodam XVII / Cenderawasih, Commander of Kodam XVII / Cenderawasih, Maj. Gen. Herman Asaribab, opened a social service activity which was marked by the provision of food packages and actions caring for handling COVID-19 at GIDI Polomo Church, Sentani.

On that occasion, the Military Commander also handed over social assistance in the form of basic needs that were received directly by Rev. Lipiyus Biniluk.

"This social service that we do is a form of concern from Kodam XVII / Cenderawasih to help the community and as a venue for friendship to strengthen a sense of togetherness and kinship between the TNI and the people," said Maj. Gen. Herman Asaribab

Through this social service, it is hoped that it can help ease the burden of the underprivileged people amid the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic that we are currently feeling.

"To welcome the XVII / Cenderawasih Kodam Anniversary, this social service to provide food to help people who are less able to cope with the impact of the Covid-19 virus pandemic," hoped Major General TNI Herman Asaribab.

Meanwhile, Pastor Lipiyus Biniluk as a GIDI church leader who received assistance immediately thanked him for helping the community of GIDI Palomo Sentani congregation.

"With this social service, we are greatly helped to overcome the impact of the COVID-19 virus pandemic that we are currently feeling," he said.
