Manokwari Community Gives 10 Acres of Land for the Construction of TNI Headquarters

Residents of Warbifor Village, North Manokwari District, Manokwari Regency, West Papua, are said to have agreed to hand over 10 hectares of land to Kodam XVIII / Kasuari for the construction of the Medan Artillery Battalion Headquarters.

North Manokwari District Chief, Sakarias Dowansiba, to Commander of the XVIII / Maj. Kodam Military Major General Ali Hamdan Bogra while reviewing land readiness for the construction of the Yon Armed Headquarters in Warbifor Village, North Manokwari District, West Papua revealed that he represented the community, surrendering the Land of 10 hectares in the village of Warbifor to the Military Commander XVIII / Cassowary.

"The community agreed to hand over 10 hectares of land to the Kodam. So I am proud, agree that the Kodam built a building here for us, the people of North Manokwari and all the people in West Papua Province," he said, Friday (06/12/2020).

On that occasion, Commander of the XVIII / Kasuari Military Major General Ali Hamdan Bogra, said that the purpose of the land review carried out with the Commander of Detachment Headquarters (Dandenma) Kodam XVIII / Kasuari was to ensure land readiness for the Yon Armed development plan, both regarding its location or position , administration, validity of ownership, and relinquishment of customary rights.

"This is intended so that in later development there will be no more problems that can hamper," he said.

In line with Sakarias, Aser Dowansiba, a local village community leader also strongly supports and agrees to the construction of the Army AD headquarters in his village.

"We strongly support, strongly agree. In the future, this development can run smoothly and the people in North Manokwari District are safe. Maybe those of us in this region, especially in Warbifor in the future can be even more advanced," he said.

"We have a community here that is far from security. So after Kodam, we fully agree with this to be built. We ask immediately, if possible this year can be built," Aser added.
