Mee Students and Students Get Food Aid from the Papua Cendikia Forum |
The Papua Cendikia Forum provided food aid to the Mee Tribe students in Jayapura City and Regency who were affected by a new type of corona virus pandemic (COVID-19).
The temporary coordinator of the Papua Cendikia Forum, Josua Noak Douw, accompanied by a number of administrators in Jayapura, said that the assistance was specifically for students from the Mee Pago traditional area.
"And specifically for students from the Mee tribe from Nabire, Dogiyai, Deiyai and Paniai districts who are affected by COVID-19," he said, Wednesday (6/24).
He explained that the Papua Cendikia Forum was moving in the framework of humanity, not because of political situations or other elements, for fellow citizens in Papua.
"Why is it given only to students or students from the Mee Tribe, because based on the data we have received they have not received any assistance from the government or other parties during COVID-19, if the other party has been given," he said.
