Tolikara Regional Police provided seedlings for the residents of Mugi district

Tolikara Regional Police Binmas Unit provided seedlings assistance to residents in Mugi District Tolikara Regency, Papua, in order to support local food security programs amid the corona virus pandemic (COVID-19).

Kasat Binmas Chief of Tolikara Police Station Iptu Widada when contacted from Jayapura City on Saturday night said the action was also a form of Police service as a friend of the farmers to welcome the 74th Bhayangkara Anniversary.

"In addition to providing plant seeds, Tolikara Regional Police Binmas Unit also provided food in the form of rice and instant noodles to residents received by Lakor Bogum, one of the local community leaders," he said.

He mentioned the plant seeds given were tomato, pepper, eggplant, mustard greens, soybeans and beans, with the hope of helping residents or farmers in the Mugi District to meet their needs and improve the economy in the household.

"During the COVID-19 pandemic, we from Tolikara District Police had a special program from the leadership so that we applied it on the field by the Binmas Unit, in one activity the Police were friends to farmers," he said.
