Jayapura Athletes Boarding House Ready to Help Overcome Covid-19 Patient Quota
Jayapura Regent Mathius Awoitauw stressed that the Jayapura Regency Government is currently preparing the Wisma Athlete Building located in the new Doyo area to be used as a facility to handle positive patient care for COVID-19.
"We have prepared it, we just want to use it, all facilities are ready," said Mathius Awoitauw, told reporters at Sentani the Jayapura Regency Public Relations COVID-19.
He said preparations had been made such as procurement of beds, then treatment rooms and also a special place for medical personnel.
"All of the supporting facilities have been confirmed to be 100 percent ready, so we will just live in them," he said.
Regent Mathius Awoitauw stressed that the building was indeed the only facility utilized by the Jayapura Regency local government to help accommodate positive patients of COVID-19. This is to support Yowari Regional Hospital which is already over capacity due to the surge in co-19 patients.
So as to support services to patients, a new, more representative room is needed. "There are about 40 bad beds in which we have prepared everything," Mathius said.
He admitted that previously there were a number of patients from Jayapura district who were referred to several hospitals in Jayapura because the Jayapura district general hospital could no longer accommodate or accept COVID patients19. This is due to the limited support facilities for isolation rooms or special hospitalization for corona virus patients.
