The PLN Electricity Subsidy Program is extended to September

The electricity subsidy program from the government through PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) for customers with 450 VA and 900 VA power is extended until September 2020.

PLN Executive Vice President Corporate Communication & CSR Agung Murdifi said, the extension of the electricity bill subsidy program was an attempt by the government to ease the burden on society amid the current Covid-19 pandemic.

"The bill waiver and payment relief program is intended to protect the people most affected by the pandemic," Agung said Friday (07/03/2020).

Agung said, PLN was ready to continue and succeed the program. All customers who are entitled to bill and discount exemptions have been included in the system since the previous Covid-19 stimulus was given.

The program will provide free electricity costs to electricity customers of the 450 VA data category and a 50 percent discount to subsidized 900 VA power customers registered in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) at the Ministry of Social Affairs.

While for post-paid customers, this assistance will be directly included in the bills of each customer. For prepaid customers or token systems, the amount of assistance is calculated based on the highest average number of customer usage between January and March 2020.
