KPU Nabire Holds the 2020 Nabire Regional Election Open Debate
The General Election Commission (KPU) of Nabire Regency, held an open debate event for candidates for the General Election of Regent and Deputy Regent of Nabire, 2020. The open debate was held at the LPP RRI Auditorium, Jalan Merdeka Nabire, starting at 08.03 WIT.
This debate event presented the three candidate pairs, each candidate pair number 1 Yufinia Mote / Muhammad Darwis, candidate pair number 2 Mesak Magai / Ismail Jamaludin and candidate pair number 3 FX.Mote / Tabroni Cahya.
The open debate was hosted by the moderator, Hendra Sianipar, starting with a prayer, singing the Indonesia Raya song and a speech by the Head of KPU Nabire, Wilhelmus Degey.
While the three panelists who were presented in this debate were Benyamin Kareth representing academics, Titus Pekei representing cultural observers and Suroso representing professionals.
In this debate, in accordance with the rules that were delivered at the beginning of the event, the delivery of the vision and mission of the work program was presented with a duration of 5 minutes, the deepening of the vision and mission was divided into 3 sessions, each question from the moderator was answered for 3 minutes, as well as asking other candidate pairs and arguing back for 5 minutes.
And at the end of the open debate, each candidate pair delivered a closing statement for 3 minutes. The event then continued with the explanation of the vision and mission of each candidate pair.
In the first session with the theme "Increasing Welfare & Advancing the Region", the three candidate pairs were given 3 different questions according to the theme.
For candidate pair number 1, the question posed is what programs will be carried out to reduce the poverty rate in Nabire.
For candidate pair number 2, the question posed is how to improve the welfare of Papuan noken craftsmen, who sell their sweat products in inappropriate places in Nabire, and their relevance to the local regulation.
For candidate pair number 3, the question posed is how to overcome social welfare as well as efforts to advance Nabire?
In the second session of an open debate, with the theme "Improving Services to the Community", the three candidate pairs were given 3 different questions according to the theme.
For candidate pair number 1, the question asked is how to improve services to heterogeneous communities without underestimating the indigenous people in Nabire?
For candidate pair number 2, the question posed is what concrete steps will be taken to improve public services at the district level?
And for candidate pair number 3, the question posed is how to improve the performance of the government bureaucracy, both regarding the placement of positions, improving the discipline and welfare of ASN, as well as the placement of honorary and employees.
In the third session with the theme "Strengthening the Republic of Indonesia and Nationality", the three candidate pairs were given 3 different questions according to the theme.
For candidate pair number 1, the question posed is what concrete steps are to achieve national goals, namely the creation of a harmonious, peaceful and peaceful life in Nabire, and to expose residents who want to separate from the Republic of Indonesia.
For candidate pair number 2, the question posed is how to strengthen the Republic of Indonesia in the diversity of ethnicities, religions, races and groups in Nabire.
For candidate pair number 3, the question posed is what is the effort to encourage the application of the 4 basic consensus of nationality, namely Pancasila, UUD 1945, Bhineka Tunggal Ika and NKRI, in community life in Nabire in strengthening the Republic of Indonesia and nationality.
