Aiming for Medals at PON Papua, PRSI Equips West Sumatra Swimming Athlete Equipment

Swimming equipment for athletes who will participate in the swimming branch at the upcoming Papua National Sports Week (PON) has been submitted by the West Sumatra Indonesian Swimming Association (PRSI).

"We administrators have submitted training aids to two PON athletes," said Secretary of PRSI West Sumatra, Nafrizal.

He explained, training equipment such as, Fin, pants and swimwear, is a form of support for athletes who will go on the national exhibition later in Papua. In addition, the West Sumatra PRSI management also conducts review and monitoring and provides motivation to the two athletes, namely Sherena and Abrian.

The PRSI committee reviewed the Cat's Eye trainer, also received input from the trainer as well as information on the development of athletes since making preparations in order to face PON.

On that occasion, coach Seti Aditis, expressed his gratitude to the government through the West Sumatra PRSI who have devoted attention to the athletes and swimming coaches of West Sumatra.

He hopes to pay more attention to athletes and coaches in order to produce the best achievements, especially in the swimming branch that does not contribute a gold medal to West Sumatra.

"Let's build the West Sumatra swimming together to produce the best athletes," said the former UNP lecturer.
