DPD RI Ready to Support Successful Implementation of PON XX / 2021 Tanah Papua

As a representative of the regions, the DPD RI is ready to support the positive steps of the Ministry of Sports (Kemenpora) in an effort to make the implementation of the XX / 2021 PON in Papua a success for the advancement and existence of various sports in Indonesia.

This was revealed by the Chairman of DPD RI AA LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti when receiving the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Zainudin Amali regarding the preparation for holding PON Papua XX / 2021 in the Delegation Room of the Chairperson of the DPD RI Nusantara Building III, Parliament Complex Senayan Jakarta, Tuesday (16/3 ).

On that occasion, the Menpora revealed the progress of preparations for organizing PON Papua. Based on reports from the Ministry of PUPR and Pemprov Papua, almost all match venues are 100 percent complete, only the Archery, Roller Skates and Paddle venues are estimated to be completed in April 2021.

Preparation for accommodation and transportation in the City and Regencies of Jayapura, Mimika and Merauke is almost complete. "Contingents from 34 provinces have declared their readiness to take part in PON 2021. Currently, a new legal basis for the Presidential Decree and Inpres 2020 is required to be 2021. PON XX / 2021 a national sports event held in Papua. PON 2021 is scheduled for 2-15 October 2021. Lukas Enembe Stadium is the main location for the event starting from the opening and closing ceremonies.
