Prevent the Circulation of Prohibited Goods, TNI Holds Sweeping at the Papua Border
In order to prevent the circulation of prohibited items in the Papua border area, the RI-PNG Military Infantry Battalion Task Force 512 / QY Pos Kalibom held a sweeping activity on the Trans Jayapura-Wamena road in Kalibom Village, Waris District, Keerom Regency, Papua.
This sweeping activity was also carried out in order to maintain security stability during the holy month of Ramadan in the border area of Papua.
This was conveyed directly by Dansatgas Lt. Col. Inf Taufik Hidayat when he was met at the Kotis Post, Mannem District, Keerom Regency, Thursday (22/4/2021)
"All people passing through must be checked, both documents of identity documents, or items that are brought," said Dansatgas.
"This sweeping received support and appreciation from local residents. The residents agreed with the sweeping activities in this border area, especially Kalibom Village to make it safer," he added.
This is one of the activities that are very beneficial in the long term to protect the community and prevent the moral damage of the nation's children from the circulation of prohibited goods.
The sweeping that was held by Kalibom Post on Wednesday, April 21st, starting at 10.00 s.d. 15.00 WIT was running safely and smoothly, no prohibited items or suspicious public identity documents were found.
Similar activities will continue to be held at different times in order to create security stability and prevent the circulation of prohibited goods in border areas.
