Student Killed by the KKB Papua Shoot, Motor Set on Fire

The Papuan armed criminal group (KKB) is acting up again. One high school student in Ilaga, Puncak Regency, Papua, was shot dead by KKB.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of Ops Nemangkawi, Kombes Iqbal Al Qudusy, confirmed that the KKB shot again at the residents. Iqbal said the victim was named Ali Mom, a male student of class I at SMA 1 Ilaga.

"Yes, it is true, what happened in Ilaga, KKB shot a student there," Iqbal when contacted, Friday (16/4/2021).

Iqbal said the shooting took place on Thursday (15/4) at around 19:15 WIT. Iqbal said the KKB was suspected of being a member of Lekagak Telenggeng.

"Yesterday it happened, allegedly the perpetrator was a subordinate of Lekagak Telenggeng," said Iqbal.

Iqbal said the KKB also burned the victim's motorbike. He said the victim was shot twice in the head and hacked into the head.

Meanwhile, Kapolres Puncak Kompol I Nyoman Punia confirmed the incident was 3 kilometers from Ilaga City.

"That's right, the perpetrator was the KKB group Leri Mayu, who was a subordinate of Lekagak Telenggeng. The victim was called by the perpetrator to buy betel nut, but he was shot in the head twice," said Nyoman when contacted separately.

After a series of events in Beoga and Ilaga, Nyoman appealed to residents to reduce their activities at night.

After the incident, the bodies were evacuated to the Ilaga Puskesmas. Currently the body has been laid in the funeral home and the family plans to cremate it.

Previously, a motorcycle taxi driver was killed by an armed criminal group (KKB) in Eromaga Village, Puncak Regency, Papua, on Wednesday (14/4). The house of the Deputy Chairman of the DPRD was also burned.

"At 13:20 WIT, we received information that there had been the murder of a motorcycle taxi driver in Eromaga Village," said Head of the Nemangkawi Operations Public Relations Task Force Kombes M Iqbal Al Qudusy to detikcom, Wednesday (14/4).

Iqbal also confirmed the news about the KKB burning houses in Kampung Beoga. "(House) Deputy (Chairman) DPRD," said Iqbal.
