Kadin Prepares 10 Thousands of SMEs to Welcome XX Papua PON

Kadin Papua is accompanying 10 thousand MSMEs ahead of the XX Papua PON which will be held on 2-15 October 2021.

A number of these MSMEs are spread across 4 PON implementation clusters, namely Jayapura City, Jayapura Regency, Mimika and Merauke. Later, MSMEs will sell local products made native to Papua, either in the form of food or drinks, handicrafts, such as noken and also other agricultural commodities, such as native Papuan coffee.

The chairman of the Papua Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ronald Antonio Bonay, explained that the assistance of 10 thousands of SMEs has been coordinated by the Disperindagkop UKM and Manpower of the Papua Province and PB PON XX Papua 2021.

"Currently there is a problem, because not all MSMEs have a place to sell in the arena of PON implementation. We have prepared a number of solutions, to place MSMEs in hotels or athletes' accommodation and also other strategic places visited by guests from various provinces in Indonesia," he explained, Thursday (29/7).

Later, Kadin Papua will make digitalization to promote Papuan MSME products via online or other applications.
