Thousands of Merauke Residents Take Vaccination




Thousands of Merauke residents flocked to participate in the vaccination which was centered in 3 locations, namely the Merauke Police Headquarters, Merauke District Military Command 1707 and Air Force Field. Due to the enthusiasm of the residents, the vaccination took place until the afternoon. In fact, at Makodim 1707/Merauke the vaccination was continued on Sunday (4/6).

This vaccination was held in collaboration with the Merauke District Health Office with the Merauke Police, Kodim 1707/Merauke and Johanes Air Base where Merauke. Because of the enthusiasm of the residents who want to be vaccinated, they are willing to queue for hours. To reduce queues that are too long and tired from queuing too long, the Merauke Police Station gives the first 500 people queue forms, while in the afternoon residents who have taken 500 and above forms.

Merauke Deputy Police Chief Commissioner Leonardo Yoga, SIK accompanied by the Head of Operations Division AKP Micha Toding Potty, SIK, SH, revealed that initially his party was targeting 500 doses, but because of the enthusiasm of the people for vaccination, his party requested an additional 500 vaccines to the Merauke District Health Office.

According to him, this vaccination is not only intended for the elderly, pre-elderly and adults, but also for children aged 12-17 years. In the Makodim Hall 1707/Merauke, residents also queued to receive the Sinovac vaccine. Dandim 1707/Merauke Lt. Col. Czi. Moh. Rois Edi Susanto, ST, through Pasi Ops Kodim 1707/Merauke Captain Inf.

Arman Tanjung said that the vaccination attack was in collaboration with Health officials from Denkesyah 17.04.04/Merauke from Kesdam XVII/Cenderawasih ranks. It was explained that the enthusiasm of the residents was very high where on Saturday, 532 people were vaccinated.
