MEIDODGA IROGI MEIDODGA LARGE TRIBES SUPPORT OTSUS SUSTAINABILITY

Keliopas Meidodga, Head of the Arfak Derived Irogi Meidodga Tribe, expressed his support for the sustainability of Special Autonomy (Otsus).

“Otsus is a policy of the central government. We in the area can submit suggestions. So far, what we have conveyed is very meaningful, the evidence is that the Special Autonomy Law is still continuing," said Keliopas.

Keliopas said that the presence of DPR in regencies and cities is a hope for the Papuan people. It is hoped that the members of the DPR can accept the community's proposals, especially the indigenous people of the region.

Keliopas hopes that the implementation of the Special Autonomy Law that has been stipulated can continue to involve the role of the Chiefs of Tribes, Villages, or Districts, because they are the ones who are considered to be more knowledgeable about local communities.

"I will continue to urge the public, especially the Arfak Tribe, not to get involved in activities that can harm the community," Keliopas concluded.
