Mutiara Cenderawasih Pacific Foundation Assists in Funding for Village Children's Literacy Movement

The Mutiara Cenderawasih Pacific Foundation helped fund the Village Children's Literacy activities which took the tagline of the Smart Fakfak Movement.

The agreement was signed by the leaders of the Mutiara Cenderawasih Pacific Foundation and Village Children Literacy (LAKA FAKFAK) at the Grand Papua Hotel Fakfak, West Papua, Monday (10/1/2022).

The Head of Wempy Kabes Foundation said that the Foundation has been active since 2010 and has been concerned with various social issues. Among them are campaigns about stop kissing glue aibon, stop alcohol, stop drugs, stop domestic violence (domestic violence), the honesty canteen movement and several other social activities.
 
"Currently we are involved in the issue of early childhood education," said Wempy, who is also the former Chair of the Fakfak Student Association in Jakarta.
 
"We started from scratch and with personal support, we only have passion for our service to the children in the villages," said Imron, who is also the former chairman of the Fakfak Student Association in Sorong.
 
On this occasion, the Trustee of the Mutiara Cenderawasih Foundation, Dr (C) Mervin S Komber, invited us to work hand in hand in facing the fast-moving digital era.

"Now we are faced with a very fast digital pattern of change. If it is too late then we will be swallowed up by global competition. It's time for us to move appropriately and strategically for a better future,” said Mervin, who is also the former Chair of the Fakfak Student Association in Jayapura.

On that occasion, Mervin donated Rp. 25 million for the Smart Fakfak Movement.
 
Separately, the Secretary of the Mutiara Cenderawasih Foundation, Noventus Krispul, said that in the near future the Foundation and LAKA Fakfak will hold a Working Meeting to determine priorities for activities and the next agenda.
