TNI Approach in Papua Prioritize Social Communication

The Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General TNI Andika Perkasa, changed the task force and approach of the TNI in Papua and West Papua, which had to build social communication with the surrounding community.

For that Andika will fulfill all the facilities needed by every TNI personnel in carrying out their duties in the two provinces.

"All facilities for the needs of TNI personnel will be met," said Andika, quoted on Monday, January 3, 2021.

In the briefing, Andika divided the assignments into three task forces (Satgas), namely the Kodim Task Force, Air Base Task Force and Lanal Task Force.

Each task force must develop the potential of the surrounding community by building good social communication.

The change is one of the refresher and strengthening steps taken by the TNI Commander so that members of the task force can carry out their main tasks and functions professionally, he said.

TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa is committed to using a humanist approach to solving problems in Papua and West Papua.

He has conveyed this commitment since the fit and proper test at the DPR RI until now serving as the Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces.

Therefore, he instructed his staff to prioritize the task of territorial development and social communication in order to build understanding and closeness with the people of Papua and West Papua.
