Prohibition of Pursuit of Papuan KKB, Papuan Police Chief Already Has a Special Strategy, Now Prepares 2 Brimob Companies

The Papuan Police Chief Inspector General Mathius D Fakhiri has banned his subordinates from pursuing separatist groups in Papua.

Even so, Fakhiri said he had a special strategy in handling conflicts.

Fakhiri has even prepared two companies of Brimob troops.
 
Shortly after conveying the prohibition against pursuing Papuan KKB, Fakhiri gave a briefing to the Brimob capacity building training participants, on Thursday (24/02).
 
The activity was attended by the NCO and the new enlisted personnel of the Papua Police Satbrimob in 2022 which took place at the Koya Koso Volleyball Indoor Gymnasium in the Muara Tami District, Jayapura City.

On this occasion, Fakhiri said that he was extremely proud to have a new member.

With all confidence, I hope that the Brimob Polda Papua will be at the forefront and best in handling all problems.

“You have to be proud of yourself, show that you are the best and be an example to other members out there.”

"You are here to be servants of the community and your own brothers and sisters in Papua," said the Papuan Police Chief, launching tribratanews.papua.polri.go.id.
 
"You are not educated here to be an engine of violence in Papua, but you are educated to be able to serve the Papuan people."

The Papuan Police Chief thanked the Brimob Dansat, who was always at the scene of an incident in Papua.

He hoped that this could be transmitted to the next generation of Brimob Dansat.

“The Papuan Police HR data shows that as many as 97% here want to join Brimob because of their own will, this needs to be appreciated. And for the Mako Pas Brimob III in Eastern Indonesia, which will later be built in Mimika, we pray that it can be realized," he explained.
 
The Papuan Police Chief requested that from the Brimob members, only 2 special companies be prepared to be sent to school.

It is the front line in handling KKB disturbances.
