Good Friday, Christians in Jayapura Papua are grateful to be able to worship 100 percent in the church

The moment of Good Friday worship which was carried out 100 percent in the church, became happiness and gratitude for Christians in Jayapura City, Papua Province.

One of the residents of Abepura District, Ance Windesi (42) said that the celebration of Good Friday, or the 3 holy days, is indeed grateful because it can be done 100 percent in the church.

"In the past, we had to divide someone who joined the virtual or several at the church office," said Ance to Tribun-Papua.com Friday (15/4/2022).

According to his observations when he was in the church, the congregation seemed solemn in participating in worship, including listening to the word.

"Because maybe we haven't gathered this much for a long time to carry out worship, so this is our longing as a community and as a congregation," he said.

However, he remains aware of the importance of strict health protocols during the Covid-19 pandemic, including in terms of worship.

"Well, we must obey the government, at least it has allowed us to return to worship in full like this," he said.

On that occasion, Ance also expressed his hopes for this year's Easter.

"Hopefully we as Christians, can grow better in God's love, have love and spread it to those around us," he said.

The meaning of Easter for himself is, a moment to remember the figure of Jesus Christ as a helper, and through Easter he can implement Christ's love for his family.
