Paulus Waterpauw Sympathizes with Orphans and Breaks Fast Together
Deputy of the National Border Management Agency (BNPP) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Komjen Pol (Purn) Paulus Waterpauw held a gathering and breaking the fast with youth and millennials across Sorong Raya organizations at the Vega Hotel, Sorong, West Papua, Monday (25/4). /2022). This activity was held with the Regional Management Board (BPD) of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi) West Papua.
The event was lively because it was attended by approximately 500 invited guests from various organizations, both from community organizations, regional organizations, youth organizations, student organizations as well as artists and sports communities in Sorong Raya.
After breaking the fast together, Paulus, who was accompanied by the General Chairperson of the West Papua HIPMI BPD William Heinrich, also gave donations to orphans from four different orphanages.
“My children, please accept this favor. Don't look at the value, but look at the meaning of sincerity and new intentions from those who give," said Paulus.
The man who was born in Fakfak, October 25, 1963, also advised the orphans who were present at the event not to be discouraged in living life. Paul hopes that one day, these orphans will grow up to be successful people and become future leaders.
“Diligent in school, study hard, listen to the advice of the ustaz or the caregivers at your school. Instill in my children, that you will be leaders in the future," added Paulus.
Meanwhile, William Heinrich said that the purpose of this activity was solely to establish a relationship between organizations in Sorong Raya. Paulus, said William, attended by chance because he was carrying out an assignment to visit the islands on the Papuan border.
"He is the son of the pride of West Papua. A three-star general from the Land of Papua, who has made history four times in a row, is the head of the Papuan police. So, there is nothing wrong with us if we present him to motivate young people in particular. He could have told me about his success story and that would be a motivation for us West Papuan youths," said William.
