The heinous story of Papuan KKB Kills Truck Driver, Victims Kidnapped and Struck by Bullets

Armed criminal group (KKB) terrorists have again shown their atrocities after killing a truck driver named Nober Palintin (31) in Puncak Regency, Papua. The victim was first abducted and then strafed by bullets to death.

The heinous murder that befell the victim began when he and his colleague, initials AT, were mining sand in the Gome District, Puncak Regency, Papua on Wednesday (11/5). Subsequently a number of KKB members kidnapped the victim.

"The victim was previously kidnapped. The victim was suddenly pulled from the truck and at that time was taken away," said Wakasatgas PR for Peace Operations Cartenz AKBP Arif Irawan to detikcom, Friday (13/5/2022).

Nober's victims were taken quite a distance from Gome District to Ilaga District. Right at Kali Wilipur, Kampung Kimak, Ilaga District, the victim was shot dead.

When found on Thursday (12/5), there were two gunshot wounds to the victim's body. The two gunshot wounds were found on the victim's back and shoulders.

"That's 2 times (gunshot wounds), on the back and on the shoulder," he said.

According to Arif, KKB members actually fired 5 more shots. The aftershocks were allegedly intended to scare the sand miners.

"There were five follow-up shots. They wanted to ban people from entering the sand extraction area," he said.

The victim was asked to go home by the family

The victim of the KKB atrocity Nober Palintin turned out to be a nomad from North Toraja Regency (Torut), South Sulawesi (South Sulawesi). He was also asked to return to his hometown by his family because lately, Torajans have often become victims of the cruelty of the KKB.

"Lastly, Nober called Sunday, May 8. I told him to go home because recently many Toraja people have become victims. But he said many of his friends were there," said Nober's father, Yulius Palintin during a separate interview.

Yulius then reminisced about the last conversation he had with his son, which was completely unexpected for him. He did not expect the child to actually become a victim of KKB as he had feared.

"There was a friend who informed him that Nober was kidnapped. One family was immediately worried because his cellphone number could not be reached," he said.

One day later, Thursday (12/5), the Nober family in Sa'dan Pabulian Village, Sa'dan District, North Toraja received news that Nober was found dead in the river from gunshot wounds.

"My dear son, they were found in the river, why did this happen to Nober," cried Yulius.

Nober is known as a very responsible person. Nober's departure also left a deep wound for his wife and two daughters who were 7 and 4 years old in North Toraja.

"If the information comes from there (Papua) today the body has been flown from Timika to Makassar. If it arrives in Makassar tonight, the body will be at home tomorrow," explained Yulius.
