TMMD renovated the houses of the residents of Mamisi Teluk Wondama

The 113th TNI Manunggal Village Building (TMMD) activity in Mamisi Village, Nikiwar District, Teluk Wondama Regency, West Papua was enthusiastically welcomed by the local community for helping to renovate residents' houses.

The head of Mamisi Village, Edison Werbete, said on Sunday that his residents welcomed the presence of TNI soldiers to carry out these activities in his village. The local residents are even enthusiastic about working together to help every activity carried out such as house renovation, road and bridge construction as well as other social activities.

"TMMD in Mamisi Village is a good thing and really helps the community. Hopefully in the future the Regional Government can encourage them to follow up on existing deficiencies," Werbete hoped.

Oscar Kayukatuy, one of the residents of Mamisi said he was happy because his house, which was already starting to break down, could be renovated almost entirely thanks to TMMD's activities.

"I'm happy because the house has been well made," said Kayukatuy.

On Wednesday (25/5), the TMMD Monitoring and Evaluation Team (Wasev) from the TNI AD Headquarters led by Infantry Colonel Erwin Rustiawan together with Wondama Bay Regent Hendrik Mambor and Wondama Bay Deputy Regent Andarias Kayukatuy had the opportunity to review TMMD activities in Mamisi Village.

After the field inspection, Colonel Erwin said he was satisfied with the achievements that had been made up to the 13th day of the TMMD implementation in Mamisi Village.

In general, the progress of activities has reached 65 percent, where specifically for house renovations, it has reached 80 percent.

He hopes that the local community will be more enthusiastic in helping TNI soldiers so that all work can be completed on time, which is 30 days.

"Some of those already running have reached 80 percent. The progress is quite good. I hope the community will help so that there is closeness between the TNI and the community because the purpose of the TMMD is to make the TNI closer to the community. So don't let TNI soldiers work alone," Erwin ordered.
