The Regent of RHP Gives Aid to 35 Cooperatives
The Central Mamberamo District Government through the Cooperatives and SME Service provided grants for cooperatives in the district.
The aid was symbolically handed over by the Regent of Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak (RHP) to representatives of the cooperative at the BKPLA Hall of Kobakma Mamberamo Tengah, last Friday (3/6).
The assistance was witnessed directly by the cooperative management, the Egyptian Regional Secretary Yikwa and the Head of the Central Mamberamo Cooperatives and SMEs Service, Aruam Pagawak.
The Regent of RHP said that the grant assistance was sourced from special autonomy funds intended for cooperatives managed by indigenous Papuans.
“There are 35 cooperatives that have received assistance in five districts. Where each cooperative gets assistance of one hundred million rupiah,” explained RHP in a release received by Cenderawasih Pos, Sunday (5/6).
The Regent of RHP asked the cooperatives that received this grant to manage it properly.
"If every cooperative that receives assistance is able to manage funds properly so that the cooperative develops, then in the coming year the government will provide even greater assistance," he said.
“In developing a cooperative, it is indeed quite difficult. But most of the cooperatives come from churches, of course I'm sure the aid can be managed properly. So that it can increase people's income, so they can get out of poverty and underdevelopment," he added.
The regent for these two periods asked the Cooperatives and SMEs Office to participate in providing assistance and supervision for these cooperatives.
The Regent of RHP said that supervision and assistance was carried out by the Department of Cooperatives and SMEs so that cooperatives could develop and progress.
"In its management, cooperatives cannot run alone, there needs to be assistance and supervision from the technical service," he concluded.
