Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Johnny G Plate designed the Proudly Made in Indonesia National Movement (Gernas BBI) to be able to awaken the digital ecosystem of Small and Medium Industries (IKM) in Papua Province.

The Special Staff of the Minister of Communication and Information for Political Communication, Philip Gobang met at the Cenderawasih Sports Center (GOR), Jayapura, Papua, Tuesday, saying that the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) which was appointed as campaign manager for Gernas BBI in Papua had prepared Papuan IKMs to participate. in the digital ecosystem.

For example, said Phillip, IKMs in Papua already understand how to receive orders digitally and how to accept payments through the "Quick Response Indonesian Standard" (QRIS).

After being introduced, said Phillip, Kominfo hopes that the capacity of SMEs to enter the digital ecosystem will increase. After the BBI Gernas, IKM in Papua can continue to live and even grow their business to be big.

Gernas BBI Papua 2022 has full support, including the Telkom Group and Telkomsel for connectivity and a number of national e-commerce platforms.
 
There are 25 booths in Cenderawasih Sports Hall ready to be filled by SMEs who have gone through the curation process. Meanwhile, outside the Cenderawasih GOR, the Gernas BBI committee also prepared 49 booths to be filled by MSMEs in Papua that had not yet passed the curation process.

According to Phillip, Papua is one of the regions in Indonesia that is full of potential natural resources and superior products from Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

With the curation process, Papuan MSMEs are encouraged to raise their class to be more competitive and even at the global level. One of them is by entering the digital ecosystem.

Phillip said that the 25 SMIs that passed the curation process were guaranteed to have good product quality and represent local wisdom in Papua and were able to provide products when the number of orders was large.

Located at GOR Cenderawasih Papua on Wednesday (24/8), the MSME Product Exhibition at Gernas BBI 2022 with the theme "Digital Binar Papua" begins with beating Tifa.
