Four Papuan PUPR Projects Inaugurated By The End of This Year
Head of the Papua Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Girius One Yoman said four infrastructure development projects would be inaugurated by the end of this year.
The four projects are the construction of the governor's office, the MRP, the KPU and the office of the Papua Province Procurement of Goods and Services Bureau.
Overall, the construction of the four projects has reached 89 percent by mid-October 2022.
Assistant for General Affairs for the Papua Regional Secretary Derek Hegemur ensured that the inauguration of the MRP and Governor offices would still be carried out at the end of December, according to the instructions of the regional head.
“From the results of our field monitoring together with the Regional Government Budget Team, we have seen and received reports from PT. PP which states that the progress of the work has reached 89 percent”.
“In principle, we are happy because the development of the construction of these two offices is very fast and according to the plan. Thus, we hope that the inauguration agenda will be carried out on December 27, 2022 according to the wishes of the Governor. Because this is a monumental building and an icon of Jayapura City, we hope that at the end of this year we will make it official," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Papua Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Girius One Yoman stated that his party had been pushing for the progress of the construction of the two offices on time.
Moreover, he received a direct mandate from the regional head to ensure that the work on the four new buildings was completed on schedule and inaugurated by the end of this year.
"We at the PUPR Service are in our technical position where at this time we continue to push for the construction of these four buildings so that in the remaining two months we will definitely achieve the target, and in accordance with the governor's plan to be inaugurated on December 27, 2022. So we are optimistic that the construction can be completed on time. time because the PUPR Service always monitors the construction process of these four offices, even the PUPR Service will always control so that the work goes according to plan, "he said.
It is known that the construction of a new building for the Papua Governor's Office costs Rp. 393 billion, while the MRP building costs Rp. 291 billion. Both buildings are financed from APBD funds.
The two buildings are planned to be inaugurated at the same time as the Papua KPU Office and the Papuan Goods and Services Procurement Bureau.
