Gracia Billy Mambrasar, Invites Young Children to Build Papua

Gracia Billy Mambrasar was appointed as the special staff (stafsus) of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Billy is known as the founder of the Kitong Bisa foundation, which is engaged in education for underprivileged Papuan children.

This 30-year-old man from Serui, Yapen Islands, Papua, was educated up to Oxford in England. He who is now a social entrepreneur (sociopreuner) has also taken part in singing contests, Indonesian Idol 2006.

Reported by Antara, Gracia Billy Yosaphat Y Mambrasar comes from underprivileged families. His father was an indefinite paid teacher. His mother sells cakes at the market. But Billy's education was helped because since high school he received a scholarship from the Government of the Papua Province.

After graduating from college, he had worked for a high salary in a British oil company. In 2009, he founded the Kitong Bisa foundation to help the education of underprivileged Papuan children. Now Kitong Can have 9 learning centers, 158 volunteers, and 1,100 children. A total of 20 students took higher education at the world's top campuses.

Billy also won the title of Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Australian National University (2013-2014). He also won the title of Master of Science (MSc) with a social sustainability thesis in the LNG project.

Billy is also the Director of PT Papua Muda Inspiratif. He is also the Ambassador of Indonesia's Sustainable Development. When President Jokowi inaugurated the Papuan Youth Creative Hub, in Jayapura, 11 September, Billy presented the strategic plan of the Development Center in Papua.
