Mahfud MD Will Visit Papua

At the end of November 2019 the Coordinating Minister of Politics and Security Mahfud MD confirmed that he would visit Papua. This was conveyed by Mahfud MD when discussing specifically with Tribunnews.com at the Kemenkopolhukam office, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (11/19/2019).
.
"I will go there on November 30th. We are working on returning migrants to their respective regions. "Actually indigenous Papuans are happy with the arrival of migrants, but there are a number of separatists who provoke," he said.
.
In addition Mahfud will also see first hand the security conditions in Papua and West Papua. The Chairperson of the National Suluh Movement (GSK) Movement, Mahfud MD, assessed that the problems in Papua must be resolved wisely. Because, there are separatist seeds left in the Dutch colonial period who want to erode the loyalty of the Papuan people to Indonesia.
.
The separatist enclaves are clear and we will carry out a measurable law enforcement movement so that human rights violations do not occur (ham), "said Mahfud MD.
.
"The separatists are always looking for loopholes to blow the issue of human rights violations so that Papua is freed from Indonesia," he concluded.
.
A number of students were provoked to create chaos in Papua some time ago. In fact, they were forced to return to Papua by their seniors from Papua who were polluted by separatists.
.
Mahfud MD said that the current Indonesian government has facilitated students from Papua to return to their respective campus cities at the request of Papuan leaders and local governments.
.
"There are actually two groups in the chaos in Papua, there are separatists and there are only those who are involved. "This separatist will be prosecuted, while those who participate will be approached using a cultural approach," he explained.
.
Former Chairman of the Constitutional Court (MK), the existence of separatist seeds cannot be separated because there are foreign parties who want to target Papua with all the advantages possessed by the Earth of Paradise.
.
"Why? Because many other nations and countries are actually targeting Papua. So there is always something that influences the existence of separatist movements," he said.
.
Even so, Mahfud believes that there are still many Papuans who have a sense of loyalty to Indonesia. So, said Mahfud, the resolution of the Papua problem must still be in the corridor and not merely through an economic approach.
