TNI's contribution to preserving the Kamoro tribe in Papua

Personnel of the Prone Area Security Task Force (Satgas Pamrahwan) Infantry Battalion 754 / ENK / 20/3 Kostrad with the Kamoro Kamoro tribe community, Iwaka District, Mimika Regency, Papua, held a traditional feast which became the ancestral heritage of the Kamoro Tribe community.

This sacred event as a sign of maturing the Kamoro tribe children, led directly by the Commander of Post (Danpos) Transnabire, Letda Inf Rochmadian Perwira, Saturday (12/07/2019). This is based on the Kamoro Tribe community's trust in the personnel of the Pamrahwan Yonif Task Force 754 / ENK / 20/3 Kostrad, where they really believe and feel proud and comfortable because they are together with members of the TNI.

Dansatgas Yonif 754 / ENK / 20/3 Kostrad Kostrad Inf Dodi Nur Hidayat said that as members of the TNI, they should be able to mingle with the people around us. "The TNI is part of the people, whatever the activities of the people we must be able to support and give everything we have to help the community," he said.

The Kamoro Village Chief, Nowe Awiyuta expressed his gratitude for the assistance given by the TNI fathers in the success of this sacred event. "We believe that the presence of the TNI fathers greatly determines the success of this event, because the presence of the TNI fathers makes us feel safe and comfortable," he said.
