The Minister of Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Panjaitan will invite 50 domestic and foreign investors to visit Sorong City, West Papua Indonesia. They will see the potential for green energy investment to be developed in Indonesia's Papua land.

Luhut said big investors who were interested came from DBS, Unilever, Mayora, BUMN banks, and many more. The High Level Meeting will be held from 26-28 February 2020.
.
"Actually, it has been planned for a long time but it will only happen later in Sorong. There are 50 investors," he said in his office, Jakarta, Tuesday (25/2).
.
Luhut does not yet know how much the investment value will be achieved at the big meeting. However, all relevant ministries will be present to maximize this meeting.
.
Deputy Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment, Nani Hendiarti, said the aim of the conference was to invite investors to disburse funds to the agricultural and trade sectors because there are many potential agricultural sectors in Papua.
.
Nani said, some potential plants in Papua to be processed to export include coffee, nutmeg, chocolate, to palm oil. The government wants farmers to grow crops to produce their agricultural produce.
.
"So later in Sorong will enter the commodity. Sectors that are encouraged are agriculture, fisheries, then eco tourism. So the relevant ministers will attend," he said.
