The Governor of West Papua Asks the Regent-Mayor to Accommodate Papuan Businessmen

West Papua Governor Dominggus Mandacan asked all Regents and Mayors in West Papua to accommodate Papuan entrepreneurs, in every project that was undertaken.

This refers to Presidential Regulation Number 17 of 2019, that Papuans (OAP) must be empowered.

"Regents and mayors in West Papua, apply Presidential Regulation number 17 of 2019 in every work," said Dominggus when opening the information system of provider performance information (Attitude), Monday (17/2).

According to him, Pepres No 17 of 2019 does not only apply at the provincial level but also districts / cities. Therefore, all regional heads must be more proactive by prioritizing OAP entrepreneurs. This needs to be implemented so that future social jealousy and conflict do not arise.

"If there are work packages under Rp. 1 billion, just give them to Papuan entrepreneurs so that they can also work. This commitment of the government cannot be contested," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the committee, Frengki Isir, said that the socialization activity was not an activity to share the project, but a socialization so that the ASN could understand the application of attitude.
