TNI and Police Mediation End Inter-Kampung Clashes in Papua

In order to overcome the clashes between the residents of Kampung Kehiran and Kampung Toware Sentani in Jayapura Regency, Papua, on Monday 20 April 2020 TNI and Polri officers took swift steps to secure the dispute area. The TNI and Polri also mediated the parties to the conflict.

Colonel Binsar also revealed that the TNI and Polri had tried to mediate between the two warring parties, including asking the traditional leaders of the two warring villages to defuse the anger of their respective residents.
