Indonesian Air Force Helps Distribution of Logistics and Medical Devices to Papua

A total of 129 koli Medical Devices (Alkes) consisting of 54 Koli Hand Sanitizer for Kodam XVIII / Cassowary and 75 Koli Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for West Papua have arrived at Rendani Airport, Manokwari, on Sunday (6/14/2020).

The receipt of medical devices transported using Boeing 737-400 A-7308 Indonesian Air Force from Jakarta's Halim Perdanakusuma Airport directly to West Papua's Rendani Manokwari Airport carrying 12 crew members was carried out by Kodam (Kesdam) XVIII / Kasuari Health personnel.

"Thank you, we from the West Papua Province Task Force in the Logistics Division have received 75 APD Koli. Next we come here to receive the goods directly and check the distribution of the incoming PPE directly," said Deputy Logistics Coordinator George Larangga in Jakarta , Monday (6/15/2020).

George said, the assistance aimed at the West Papua Province Health Office (Dinkes) would be distributed to health care facilities in need.

"For those who have been taken directly to Manokwari. As for other health service facilities, if there is a request, we will give them later," he said.

George hopes that PPE can be used as well as possible by health workers in serving patients with Covid-19 or Corona Virus.

"Moreover, especially the Covid-19 patients who are currently in the care of some people," he said.

On this occasion, George expressed his gratitude for the assistance from the National Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling Covid-19 and to elements of the TNI who have assisted in the distribution of aid from Jakarta to West Papua.
