Ministry of PUPR Distributes 4,114 Houses in Papua Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance Program (BSPS)

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) channeled the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance Program (BSPS) or house renovation for 4,114 housing units in Papua Province.

Implementation of the BSPS Program in Papua Province will be carried out in 12 districts and one city and involve workers from the surrounding community with a total budget of Rp147.98 billion.

Head of the Specific Non Vertical Work Unit (SNVT) for the Provision of Housing in Papua Province, Malikidin Soltief said the implementation of the BSPS Program would later be implemented in a number of locations in Papua. Through the program known as house renovation, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) hopes that the people of Papua can live in habitable housing.

To see the readiness of the community in the field, the Directorate General of Housing of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing through the SNVT Provision of Housing for the Province of Papua is monitoring and evaluating the process of implementing the BSPS program.

In its implementation, the community as recipients of assistance will also be required to play an active role in each implementation process, both administrative and technical.

The recipients of the assistance that will be formed by the group will also appoint material suppliers, namely building shops and make a mutual agreement.

Later, the Coordinator of the Facilitator (Korfas) and the Facilitator helps the beneficiary evaluate the building material supplier designated by the beneficiary if it meets the technical instructions and requirements, submits a Budget Plan (RAB), and is followed by a List of Aid Utilization Plan (DRPB), until make a Report on the Use of Funds (LPD).

"The Beneficiaries will be facilitated by the Field Facilitator Tanaga [TFL] and coordinated by Korfas and the Technical Team who are spread out in each village or village," Malikidin said through a press release, Wednesday (06/17/2020).
