Papuan Students in Malang Mutual Assistance Helps Receiving Grocery from Kemenparekraf RI

A number of Papuan students in Malang Raya worked together to help unload thousands of food packages from the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.

The food aid was a concern for the Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Tourism and Culture for business actors affected by Covid-19, which was channeled through the Unified Malang Command Post Corona or MBLC.

Specifically, the staff of the Republic of Indonesia Kemenparekraf, Brigadier General Adi Deriyan Jayamarta also reviewed the existence of the Unified Malang Command Post Corona.

"This assistance is a form of concern of the Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Tourism and Culture towards industries and tourism businesses affected by the Covid-19 virus," said Brigadier General Adi Deriyan Jayamarta, Thursday (5/20/2020).

He explained, the assistance was needed for the tourism industry. Considering that for more than two months the industries and tourism businesses have been closed due to the impact of the Corona virus outbreak.

"Hopefully this small amount of assistance can help the sustainability of industry players and tourism businesses," he said.

The former Malang Police Chief continued, with the plague of Covid-19, it did not make the tourism industry players switch over the profession.

"Their profession is right, because they rely on the tourism sector. In addition, they are also certified. Like tourist guides and cooks in hospitality," he explained.

On that occasion, he also gave appreciation to Papuan students in Malang, who had volunteered to help receive assistance from the Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
