Provincial Government and Prominent People of Papua Enforce Health Protocols with Local Wisdom
Chairman of the COVID-19 Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling Doni Monardo appreciated the provincial government and community leaders in Papua who sought to enforce health protocols to prevent transmission of COVID-19 by utilizing local wisdom.

"There is a very positive strategy that we see, in which Papua enforces discipline based on local wisdom," Doni said.

Doni said the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy and Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto had just reviewed the state of the pandemic in Bumi Cendrawasih.
According to Doni, the number of COVID-19 positive cases in Papua continues to decline, and the number of positive cases that have recovered shows an increase.
"We see cases in Papua have decreased and the recovery rate has increased," he said.
Based on data from the COVID-19 Handling Task Force until Sunday (12/7), positive cases of new types of corona in Papua were 2,267 cases, with 1,085 of them recovering.
