Two East Aceh takraw athletes have their PON training camp

Two takraw athletes from East Aceh Regency who were prepared to take part in the XX 2021 National Sports Week (PON) in Papua Province began to undergo a Category II Centralized Centralized Training Center (Pelatda).

The Pelatda for the double takraw event number is centered in the East Aceh Idi Sport Center (ISC) Building Complex which will be held from 19 October to 19 December 2020.

Sepak Takraw coach Munzir said the two takraw athletes who underwent the training camp were Nazaruddin and Marzuki. Both were born in 1994 from Idi Rayeuk District, East Aceh.

He said that during the Pelatda, he and the two athletes were quarantined at Idi Rayeuk. The aim is to focus on training for the two months leading up to PON XX which is planned to take place on October 20, 2021 in Papua.

"PON should have been this month and this year in Papua, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was postponed to October 2021," said Munzir.

As is known, the Pelatda was carried out in accordance with the Aceh KONI Decree Number 481 / KONI-ACEH / X / 2020. Regarding the Calling of Athletes and Coaches to Participate in the XX PON 2020 Category II Pelatda. The letter was addressed to the General Chairperson of the Aceh Cabor Pengprov.

Based on the Aceh KONI letter, Pelatda sports rugby, motorized, rowing, judo, gymnastics and roller skating will be concentrated in Banda Aceh. Parachuting and sailing sports in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, the diving sport in Sabang City and the double takraw event will be centered in East Aceh. Total participants of Pelatda were 58 people, both athletes and coaches.
