East Kalimantan Outdoor Hockey Team Starts Training

The East Kalimantan outdoor hockey team began training at the Madya Sempaja Stadium, since last Tuesday (12/1/2021). This was revealed by Sri Norma Yunita the Assistant Coach.

He said the training program was started by the outdoor hockey team Benua Etam, after Monday (11/1/2021) received a recommendation from KONI East Kalimantan. "Because, it is a requirement to undergo training at the Madya Sempaja Stadium," said Ino, his nickname.

For the inaugural exercise, his party conducted training on the stadium track. Then the next day, underwent training on the hockey field. "The program is still physical and technical. However, this is still focused on the physical formation of athletes, because it is still a general phase," he explained.

"Well, we still use the futsal field for technical training, because it matches the carpet, which is used when competing in the PON," he continued. In addition, because he is currently still in a pandemic period, his party is still implementing health protocols (prokes).

"Before entering the stadium, we first did a temperature test and every day we recorded it. So, we could know the athlete's condition," he explained. And athletes during their training in the City of Tepian, said Ino, they had a boarding house. This is done to make it easier to control the athlete. "For the male and female dormitories themselves. Meanwhile, athletes at PPU have coaches who monitor them," he concluded.
