Special autonomy and regional expansion in Papua are the right solutions for the central government in developing Papua from the interior to the cities.

This was conveyed by community leaders in Sarmi district, east coast region of Beny Kantum, Spd in Jayapura, Wednesday (24/3/21).

Furthermore, Beny Kantum said that currently people should not look to the past, because the past should not be used as a basic guideline for rejecting Otsus and regional expansion, but we make this bitter experience a lesson to change all the governance systems of Otsus so that in the future Otsus can be carried out properly. and feel the benefits.

"The expansion of the region in Papua is the best solution so that the distribution of welfare in Papua can be realized immediately and government programs can be focused and on target and all people can enjoy it," said Beny.

Beny added, "as community leaders in Sarmi district in the east coast region, we once again support the sustainability of Otsus and regional expansion in Papua province," he concluded.
