Yanto Eluay calls out to support special autonomy and expansion

Otsus and pemekaran are considered to be progress solutions for Papua. For this reason, the Jayapura Regency customary figure, Yanto Eluay, asked all parties to unite their perceptions in supporting the continuation of autonomy and the expansion of a new autonomous region in Papua.

According to him, Otsus and expansion are aimed at the interests of welfare and advancing the economy of the people in Papua.

"We must be grateful for God's blessing through the hands of the government to us in Papua through the special autonomy and expansion programs, considering that these two things can build and improve the economic sector of our own society," said Yanto Eluay.

He also considered that the sustainability of the special autonomy was very important.

As for the action of resistance carried out by a group of people, it is only the interests of a few people.

He also firmly asked a handful of people, groups, politicians and even activists not to sell the name of the Papuan people for personal gain, let alone reject the expansion of Otsus and the expansion.

"Generally, the people of Papua support the continuation of special autonomy and expansion, so stop carrying the name of the Papuan people," he said.

The community is expected to be wise in supporting the sustainability of the autonomy so far as well as the expansion of new autonomous regions.

"In principle, Otsus aims to prosper the people, so with that we as traditional leaders in Jayapura Regency support and will continue to support," he said.
