KMPP Ready to Support Special Autonomy and Expansion in Papua

The Red and White Youth Component (KPMP) expressed a stance to support the continuation of Otsus and the expansion of a new province in Papua.

This was revealed by the head of the KPMP Papua youth red and white, Ali Kabiai when giving a press statement at a hotel in Jayapura, Tuesday (02/03/21).

According to Ali, the existence of Otsus is very necessary for Papua and West Papua, considering that since Otsus was given to Papua and West Papua, progress in all sectors has been seen so real.

"The special autonomy given is proof of the seriousness of the Government in developing Papua and West Papua to be better, and to answer all the challenges that exist. In fact, I think Otsus is a blessing from God that anyone in this country should be grateful for, "said Ali.

However, Ali hopes that there should still be an evaluation regarding the use of the budget and Special Autonomy that has been shaken up for Papua and West Papua.

"We hope there will be an evaluation from the center regarding the use of the budget, considering there are indications of misuse by stakeholders in Papua," he explained.

He and his Papuan youth components also support government policies in regional expansion and the formation of new autonomous regions.

It aims for better development in the future. "With the expansion of new regions, it will certainly have a positive impact on the acceleration of development that is even better," said Ali.
