Development of the XX Papua PON Venue in Mimika Has Been 90 Percent Completed

 The construction of the venue for the 12 sports for the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON) which was competed in Mimika is almost complete.

PON Head of the Great Committee (PB) Yunus Wonda said that his party had visited all venues to ensure the construction process.

"Most of the venues, both through the Mimika Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD), Papua APBD, State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN), have completed 90. Only ten percent, namely various equipment, "he explained.

Yunus explained, currently, only the aeromodelling sport branch has not been completed yet.

"This aeromodelling branch needs a lot of things to prepare," said Yunus in a written statement, Thursday (6/5/2021).

However, he confirmed that the aeromodelling venue readiness would be completed by the end of July 2021.

"PB PON Papua is also preparing accommodation readiness in the City of Timika which is adequate for all future contingents," he added.

In addition, he said, his party had also matched the readiness of the local committee regarding accommodation, consumption and equipment.

"We want to make sure everything is in order, so that in July we can carry out another stage and at the end of July we can test the event," he said.

Regarding the delegation of authority to implement PON, Yunus ensured that the PB PON would immediately convey this to the PON Sub PB.

However, he confirmed that the aeromodelling venue readiness would be completed by the end of July 2021.
