Kapolda Papua: there is still a chance for the KKB to surrender

Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol Mathius Fakhiri admits that he still provides opportunities for members of the armed criminal group (KKB) who want to surrender and return to Mother Earth.

The opportunity to return to the Republic of Indonesia is still open, but if you do not take this opportunity and you are still committing a crime, you will be confronted by the security forces.

"Law enforcement will be carried out against the criminals so that it is hoped that the opportunity or offer will be used as well as possible," said Kapolda, Inspector General of Police Fakhiri in Jayapura, Tuesday.

He said that the security apparatus is currently enforcing the law against groups that have been harassing civilians and security forces.

Law enforcement is carried out in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP) so that it is measurable and for residents who are secured but are not included in the people's livelihood list (DPO) will be returned to their families.

This has happened when security forces raided the honai or traditional house in the mountainous area of Papua Numbuk Telenggen in Ninggabuma village, Gome District, Puncak Regency, Saturday (15/5) and arrested three civilians, said Fakhiri, and after being questioned the three investigators returned to the family because they were not directly involved with the KKB,

"We are trying our best to enforce the law in accordance with the SOP," said Kapolda, Inspector General of Police Fakhiri.
