Return of NRFPB Members to the Republic of Indonesia Receives Appreciation from the Papua Police Chief
Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol Mathius Fakhiri appreciated the Nabire region member of the Federal Republic of West Papua (NRFPB), Alek Hamberi, for joining the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
"I, as the Papua Police Chief, appreciate Alek's return to the motherland's lap and hope that other members will follow him," said Inspector General of Police Fakhiri to Antara in Jayapura, Friday.
The Papua Police Chief, who admitted that he was still in Timika, stated that the NRFPB was one of the organizations that wanted to separate from the Republic of Indonesia.
NRFPB declared as the result of KRP-III in Jayapura which took place from 17 to 19 October 2011 was initiated by Forkorus Yaboisembut.
In addition to the NRFPB, other organizations, namely the KNPB and ULMWP, have the goal of making Papua Merdeka, these organizations violate the law, so that any additional movements will be dealt with firmly.
"When the declaration was implemented I served as the Jayapura Police Chief so I knew about the incident," said Inspector General of Police Fakhiri, adding that from the reports received, the Alek Hamberi action was carried out last Thursday (6/5) in Sima Village, Yaur District, Nabire Regency.
Previously, on March 17, Noki Orarei, a member of the KKB in Serui, declared that he had returned to the Republic of Indonesia.
Then on April 26, it was recorded that five KKB members surrendered again and are now mingling with the residents.
