The Special Autonomy Fund for Health Services for Indigenous Papuans Reaches Rp. 43 Billion
The government has disbursed Special Autonomy (Otsus) funds of Rp. 43 billion for health services for indigenous Papuans (OAP) spread across 29 districts / cities.
To support this service, the Papua Regional Government submitted OAP data that already had a Population Identification Number (NIK), totaling 2,386,048 people to BPJS Kesehatan.
The Head of the Papua Province Social Service, Ribka Haluk, said that from the data, a draft signing agreement with BPJS Kesehatan is being drafted on special OAP health services.
"Meanwhile, for OAP who do not have a NIK, efforts will still be made in making the NIK, in order to facilitate the data collection," Ribka explained, Wednesday (17/3).
Assistant Deputy for BPJS Kesehatan for Papua Region, West Papua, Ario Pambudi Trisnowibowo, explained that the next action would be to integrate this OAP data using the Papua Sehat Card (KPS).
"This is done so that OAP health is guaranteed. From the special autonomy funds disbursed specifically for health Rp 43 billion, 95 percent can be covered with these funds, but still requires the role of the Papua Provincial Government," he said.
