Completely Investigate Alleged Suppliers of Funds for Firearms to KKB Papua

The authorities have managed to arrest Ratius Murib alias Neson Murib, the alleged perpetrator of supplying firearms to the Papuan Armed Criminal Group (KKB). The government, especially law enforcement officers, was asked to thoroughly investigate this case.

The chairman of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI), Varhan Abdul Aziz, conveyed the request for a thorough investigation of the parties suspected of being involved, including the suppliers of funds in the sale of firearms and ammunition to the KKB terrorists.

"Findly investigate the alleged supplier of funds for Papuan KKB weapons. The government must investigate this case thoroughly and expose anyone involved to the court," said Varhan in his statement, Tuesday, June 22, 2021.

Varhan said the alleged case of buying and selling firearms to the KKB was a form of betrayal of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). Moreover, the government has designated KKB as a terrorist. Therefore, it is hoped that the government will be able to fully uncover this case.

"The supplier of weapons to the KKB or those who fund it are traitors because these weapons are used against the state, especially since KKB has been designated as a terrorist, so it must be investigated and punished severely," he explained.

For him, the apparatus owned by the government has the power and complete structure to monitor and take action against the parties involved. Varhan regretted and strongly criticized those who allegedly assisted the KKB in its movement to rebel against the government.

According to him, the way these individuals appear cannot be tolerated because they endanger state security.

"It cannot be tolerated because it has participated in endangering the security and stability of security in the country," said Varhan.

Previously, the police managed to arrest Neson, who is suspected of supplying rifles and ammunition to KKB terrorists in Puncak Jaya, Papua. The Nemangkawi Task Force is extracting information from Neson.

From Neson's confession, it was known that before being arrested, the perpetrator was about to fly from Nabire Regency to Timika Regency on Monday, June 14, 2021.

"Neson Murib made a flight from Nabire Regency to Timika Regency transiting Mulia Airport, Puncak Jaya Regency, with the aim of bringing Rp. Kombes Iqbal Alqudusy through his statement on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.

Iqbal explained that the money was allegedly given by a member of the Tolikara Regency Council I, SW, which was handed over directly to the MSW Hotel in mid-April 2021. According to him, SW is a friend of Neson Murib's study at a university in Denpasar, Bali.
