Papuan artist Edo Kondologit said the PON implementation in Papua would be safe. Because Papua is a home for all.

Edo said that ahead of the PON in Papua, the public and athletes who will compete do not have to worry about the security situation in Papua.

The most important thing, he continued, is how athletes in Papua prepare themselves to be able to compete competitively.

"Because we are the hosts, we will come from outside Papua, they will come with a spirit of togetherness that Papua is our home together, our place together, Indonesia is our big home. This event is a momentum, we are safe -Safe, fine," said Edo.

This was conveyed by Edo when he was a speaker at the launch of Tribun-Papua.com. The event was held online or virtual at the same time as a webinar entitled "Readiness and Benefits of XX 2021 PON in Papua."

"No need to worry, Papua is safe, PON will be safe, and local governments are ready, the central government supports PON Papua to run well," added Edo.

Edo is of the view that there are media, which have been making things worse in Papua.

With the presence of Tribun-Papua.com, it is hoped that Edo can become the main mouthpiece to objectively convey the current conditions in Papua.

"Let Papuans write about Papua, that's what I think is cool. That let the news from Papua be conveyed objectively. Honestly, facts, don't fabricate because there are interests, so that the news is not balanced with the reality on the ground," said Edo.
