KKB Mamta Hands over 4 Firearms and Ammunition to the Police

The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in the Mamberamo Tabi (Mamta) region handed over 4 homemade firearms (senpi) and dozens of active ammunition to the police, on Sunday, June 13, 2021.

Kasubdit IV Kamneg Directorate of Intelkam Polda Papua, Kompol Tofan Irdiyanto said the 4 rifles handed over were one long-barreled double-cylinder assembly, one AK 47 assembled, one modified short-barreled pistol along with one active 9mm bullet and one top of the airgun pistol along with 10 rounds of active ammunition of 5.56 mm caliber.

"This handover was carried out five days ago, or to be precise on Sunday, June 13, 2021 in Jayapura, which was handed over by the KKB with the initials RU, OT, MH and IY," he said in a release received by Kabarapua.co, Thursday, June 17, 2021.

He explained that the handover of four homemade rifles and dozens of active ammunition was part of an intelligence operation carried out by the personnel of the Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Papua Police in the last two months.

Tofan appealed to the general public who still hold, store, hide or control firearms, ammunition and explosives, to immediately hand them over to the authorities.
